Frequently asked questions
What is attenuation factor of the imaging table in the data set "drsprg"?
Attenuation factor of the imaging table was 1.106. In order to remove table attenuation, data in posterior projection should be multiplied by the number 1.106. However, if geometric mean data are corrected for attenuation using attenuation map calculated from transmission data, table attenuation factor is not required because it cancels out of the calculation (the table attenuates posterior projection of the patient and anterior projection of flood phantom, N = specific pixel count rate)
geometric mean data (has to be calculated pixel-wise)
attenuation map (calculated pixel-wise)
pixel-wise calculation of the 'true-count' image (assuming similar attenutaion coefficients for 99mTc and 57Co)
What was gamma-camera sensitivity in the data set "drsprg"?
Gamma camera sensitivity (of each of the 2 detectors) was 1 MBq = 72 counts per second. Therefore the injected activity in MBq can be transofrmed into non-attenuated camera counts as
D [counts per second] = injected activity [MBq] . 72
I can only download the data by modem and it takes a very long time. Is there an alternative way to get image data from the database?
Yes, you can get the complete data from the database on CD by mail. You still need to register as a user of the database and then contact custodian or the webmaster by e-mail with your request to receive the data on CD. The cost of CD print and postal expenses should be paid by credit/payment card following instructions sent in response to your request.
